Accountability and Reparations

Before October 7, there were 796 schools accommodating about 800,000 students, in addition to 17 universities and community colleges. Of those schools and universities, the Israeli occupation completely destroyed 123, and partially destroyed 335, as six universities in the Gaza Strip were completely or partially destroyed by Israeli attacks.

On Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, the Renaissance Strategic Center (RSC) hosted a talk titled “A Century of Order and Disorder in the Middle East: Who's to Blame? What to Do?” with Dr. Rami Khouri. The talk was held under the Question of Palestine Program, one of the Renaissance Strategic Center's thematic areas and Dr. Khoury is a member of ARDD Global Network on the Question of Palestine (GNQP).

Albanese, an advisor to ARDD’s Renaissance Strategic Center’s “Migration, Forced Displacement and Statelessness” program and a vocal voice for international law and human rights, spoke to the global conscience, articulating her legal perspective on the Israeli atrocities committed in Gaza.

The purpose of this plan is to fill UNRWA’s funding gap by the end of March 2024 by establishing a ‘Good Donorship Forum’ to leverage defunding donors to resume funding to UNRWA, by highlighting, among others, there there was insufficient intelligence information about the allegations against UNRWA staffers when they made the decision to defund.
