Arab Transformations

Arab Transformations

The upheaval that swept over the MENA region in 2010-2011 has entered its second decade. It is the outcome of longer-term processes of change affecting the Arab world’s political systems and societies.

ARDD’s Arab Transformations Program aims to shed light on these dynamics of transformation and inject a distinctly regional voice into the debate.  It functions as a regional platform to exchange and disseminate information; conduct research and analysis; and formulate policy options. Its activities intend to promote the emergence of revitalized Arab-majority societies that foster critical thinking and mutual understanding, at the national and international levels, and support collective and innovative action through the establishment of emancipatory, participatory, and inclusive governance systems in a view to attain sustainable and equitable development. This vision is anchored in the principles of dignity, humanity, inclusion, localization, and solidarity.
